Colorless, wax-like powder; slight odor and taste like tallow.

Insoluble in water.  Soluble in alcohol, ether, chloroform,

and carbon tetrachloride.  Combustible.

Applications:

Commonly used in lubricants, soaps, and as a carrier in metal

or shoe polishes.

This is reagent grade with 95% minimum purity.
